How to set a Valentines table for two tonight!
Thanks to Glynnis from Talloula Celebrations ( www.talloula.co.za ) for putting these great ideas together for us.
Red and white is the colour scheme.
Cover the table in red and white stripe wrapping paper – this is an easy and inexpensive way to get a table cloth look and feel.
Dig in your kitchen cupboards and pull out old tins, cups or mugs, and different white ramekins you would normally use for cooking.
We covered the tins in white paper and then decorated them with patterned washi tape, you could also decorate them with red pens or ribbons.
Cut your flowers short and pop them into the containers. Place them down the middle of the table. If you have not bought any flowers, then dash into the garden and put some green foliage into the containers. Dont mix red and white flowers, opt for all red or all white!
Make these clever heart placemats with white cardboard and red paper – cut out the shape of the placemat with a heart on the one side. Cut a heart out of red paper and glue it onto the heart shape on the white placemat.
If you don’t have red plates then white ones will work just as well – we have a great range of white crockery in store, pop in if you are needing a new set ( a great present filler for your lovely lady ) Add a romantic touch with a little love note to show your partner which is their seating place.
All that’s left to set the scene is some soft romantic music and some great food! If you aren’t the worlds best chef, then order out and plate it beautifully and it will look home made!
